Working on a more impressionistic inking style to better fit a script I’m writing and will soon enough be drawing Does anybody know any good, durable markers that would get a squareish line like this? I used a pitt brushpen, and it started crapping out on me after just these couple of doodles. I imagine I can sort of get this look with my brush, but that wouldn’t be as blunt as I’m wanting.
Maybe try the Pentel Sign Pens (SES15N & ST150)? They're sorta like the Pitt pens in that they're flexible felt-tips, and can go thin to thick, but they can take a lot more use without blowing out the tips and getting all splayed apart like the Pitt brush pens do. Of the two, the ST150 is a bit more thick and chunky and might be closer to what you're after.
Only issue with 'em is that (for some stupid reason I don't understand) they're not refillable and are loaded with non-waterproof ink.
