Beginning of a 6 pager I'm doing with the ever amazing

I had to revise this comment, like, five times to keep from sounding like a fangirl. This is awesome. Moody as hell, with a bunch of small touches -- like the way his meal is huge, enhancing the narrative point of him not eating, or how Cross' cigarette smoke invades his cell. We love her, of course, but to way you've done this page helps us understand why HE hates her. Ace, sir. Ace. Salivating for more, etc.

I'm glad somebody noticed that. I thought her cigarette sneaking in right through the bars, billowing smoke right over his meal, would drive him INSANE. Without dialog she does almost look like the villain of the piece. Fun character to draw, too. It's a tough balance to make her tough and non sexualized without coming off masculine, but I think I'm getting a grip on it.

Of all my characters, I think she's the hardest to get a grip of. She was for me, anyway. Part of why she's gotten such relatively little screen time has been me not knowing what to do with her. I've got a better handle on her now -- she's this brilliant bitch, despised by everyone and despising them right back, except for the Fowl, who I am 90% sure she's in love with. That's always been her character, but I didn't quite see it that clearly. Live an learn, what?
