Like...90 percent brush this time. Actually getting pretty confident with it now. It's also showing off some influences that were being kind of hidden by my pen inking. I dunno if the Bryan Lee o' Malley is visible, but his lines just have so much CHARACTER, and I want that.

I still enjoy the general look of pen inking, but I figure if I'm versatile as an inker I'll always get to ink my own work. I consider it a really important part of the process, and I almost don't feel like the work is "mine" if I don't handle the inking.

The drybrush on the trees is totally rocking.

Thanks, man. My biggest hurdle with brush was always getting fine details in...I think I'm getting a little better with it (I hope so, anyway, I have like less than half the faves I usually get...meh.)

I have the issue that when i try fine detail i either go too much or too little. Doing an overall animated style, its hard to see what needs more while trying to be very limited. This piece has a great balance. It doesn't get in the way of itself and its easy to see everything at first glance.
